Meet the Marketing Team
What you'll get to do
- Drive the strategy with the Senior Director, for all above named programs to support our evolving narrative and to appeal to a community of decision makers and industries.
- Ensure Splunk’s industry events events maintain their reputation for being bold, creative and engaging and are integrated along the full customer lifecycle
- Enable both global and regional motions for event strategy, design, execution and measurement, in collaboration with regional and partner teams
- Work closely with event, sales, partner and field marketing group leaders to secure the right mix of events based on business goals and priorities
- Partner across the marketing function on major programs - Brand & Creative, Corporate Communications, Content and Solutions Marketing, Partner and Vertical Marketing, Product Marketing, Marketing Operations, Regional Marketing, and Sales and Field Leadership to enable effective event strategy, enablement, execution, and impact.
- Oversight of Industry event budget and responsibility for managing and reporting to ensure that all events deliver robust returns on investment.
- Demonstrate value of event impact through ongoing communications and reporting to senior leadership, ensuring all campaigns are data-driven.
- Build repeatable and scalable processes and playbooks for event planning, budgeting and execution
- Streamline event systems and operations by using technologies and tools to reduce costs and improve efficiencies.
Must-have Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in a related field.
- 7+ years of event leadership experience at a technology company, preferably in the software industry.
- 7+ years leading high performing teams (5+ employees).
- Inspiring leader who can nurture and scale a high-performing team
- International and domestic experience.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to master existing processes and improve them
- Experience developing and driving organizational priorities and initiatives; strong project management skills.
- Strong analytical skills and a passion for leading a data-driven team focused on high ROI.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and experience in Exec-level engagement.
- Creative, innovative, curious, resourceful and results-oriented.
- Values having fun, while being disruptive, innovative, passionate and open.

Base Pay Range
SF Bay Area, Seattle Metro, and New York City Metro Area
Base Pay Range: $193,600.00 - 266,200.00 per year
California (excludes SF Bay Area), Washington (excludes Seattle Metro), Washington DC Metro, and Massachusetts
Base Pay Range: $174,240.00 - 239,580.00 per year
All other cities and states excluding California, Washington, Massachusetts, New York City Metro Area and Washington DC Metro Area.
Base Pay Range: $156,800.00 - 215,600.00 per year
Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location. Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out above, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for incentive compensation and may be eligible for equity or long-term cash awards.
