Role Summary:
A Cloud & Platform Solution Architect supports the pre-sales process for our technical field team. You will work with Splunk’s account teams on the solution and technical aspects of selling Splunk’s solutions to our largest clients spanning all business sectors and sizes. Splunk Cloud & Platform Solution Architects are experienced customer facing professionals with demonstrable expertise of Splunk architectures, designs, as well as Cloud Hyperscalers and Cloud Native technologies.
As a Cloud & Platform Solution Architect you will provide customers and account teams with technical and domain expertise around complex Splunk Architectures. You will research and communicate the value of leveraging Splunk’s capabilities to address data challenges at massive scale across hybrid deployments. You will guide customers through their Splunk growth journey, recommending Splunk capabilities that are applicable to their environment, maturity, and future state objectives. This role can be hired in either Poland or Czech.
What you'll get to do:
- Establish and proactively maintain valuable relationships with clients and partners
- Develop and maintain deep competencies in specific capabilities areas needed by Splunk customers (e.g., Data streaming & Collection, Data Lake Federation, Security & Compliance and more)
- Work closely with direct account teams to understand sales strategies and plan for support of that strategy including briefings, demos, proposals, Sizing, Proof of Values (POVs), integrations and issue resolution for Splunk’s portfolio
- Communicate directly with Spunk customers to understand their architecture, infrastructure, and objectives to map customer’s priorities and use-cases to Splunk product capabilities
- Drive expansion and Migration to Cloud of Splunk deployments in EMEA.
- Design for multi-terabyte deployments across infrastructure environments for Global and complex organizations.
- Act as an internal technical expert, fielding inquiries related to on-premises deployments, Splunk Cloud services, and cloud services provided by Public Cloud Providers (Hyperscalers)
- Provide hands-on leadership to solve Splunk technical architecture/integration needs
- Partner with Cloud, Platform, and Compliance Technical Interlocks to proactively identify customer challenges and needs, influencing the Product roadmap to meet critical customer requirements.
Must-have’s:
- Possess a depth of expertise in Enterprise Logging solutions, specifically utilizing Splunk.
- 7+ years of experience in technical pre-sales, services, system administration, and/or engineer roles
- 5+ years of experience working with infrastructure and platform services to support enterprise-scale data challenges.• Deep knowledge of strategies for operationalizing logs across infrastructure providers (i.e., on-premises, AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform)
- Experience selling or deploying technology that requires the navigation of enterprise networking, security, and compliance standards.
- Expertise in at least one scripting language (python, bash, etc.)
- Familiarity with “big data” technologies (Map-Reduce, Hadoop Ecosystem, Spark, NoSQL)
- Available to travel to visit prospects and customers in the region. This can be up to 50% of the time.
- Fluent in English (both written & spoken, German language skills would be a plus
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, substantial relevant on the job experience
