About The Role:

As the Senior Security Training and Awareness Program Manager, you will be instrumental in helping to support and mature Splunk’s information security culture! This role presents an exciting opportunity to be a key player in Splunk’s evolving security awareness program, specifically in the areas of our secure coding training program, as well as compliance-specific training design, production and implementation. You will directly contribute to helping Splunk achieve success with its various audit, compliance, and federal regulatory requirements. This role reports to the Director of information security training and awareness within the Splunk Global Security Group, which resides organizationally with the Splunk Global CISO. This is a fully remote position.

Responsibilities:

  • Run the Splunk secure coding training program in collaboration with technical partners from the Splunk Global Security Group as well as other internal Splunk engineering partners
  • Partner with internal engineering teams to training programs, align with expectations
  • Collaborate with our Learning Management System (LMS) teams for course availability
  • Design, implement and maintain metrics for training program, using automation where possible
  • Evolve the program to role-specific targeted training
  • Work with training vendor to tailor program to Splunk and its various business unit requirements
  • Prioritize and drive multiple initiatives to conclusion independently and in a timely manner;
  • Track training completion by Splunkers and work with internal partners to report training completion
  • Support overall training and awareness program, including the Splunk phishing program
  • Work with Splunk teams who require information security-specific training to discover requirements for the development of role-specific training
  • Identify training opportunities and topics
  • Support daily operations for Splunk’s global information security training and awareness program
  • Collaborate with Splunk colleagues and teams
  • Support Splunk teams in meeting their training and awareness compliance requirements

Requirements:

  • At least 5+ years experience working with information security training and awareness, preferably in a global organization;
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information security, Information Technology, or related field;
  • Proficiency in the requirements of various information security related standards, certifications and compliance programs (e.g., ISO27001, FedRAMP, SOC2);
  • Knowledge of emerging information security threats, cyber security practices
  • Excellent collaboration, organizational, interpersonal, and project/program management skills;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated experience engaging with a wide range of organizational partners;
  • Ability to engage successfully with stakeholders in various business functions at Splunk;
  • Proficiency in Google Docs, Sheets, Slides;
  • Capacity to handle other responsibilities as needed

Note:

Base Pay Range

SF Bay Area, Seattle Metro, and New York City Metro Area

Base Pay Range: $132,000.00 - 181,500.00 per year

California (excludes SF Bay Area), Washington (excludes Seattle Metro), Washington DC Metro, and Massachusetts

Base Pay Range: $118,800.00 - 163,350.00 per year

All other cities and states excluding California, Washington, Massachusetts, New York City Metro Area and Washington DC Metro Area.

Base Pay Range: $105,600.00 - 145,200.00 per year

Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location. Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out above, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for incentive compensation and may be eligible for equity or long-term cash awards.
