This is You:

The Sales Engineer will work with the Spireon sales team in a pre-sales role to develop and position solutions involving Spireon’s products. Presentations and conference call discussions are a critical part of this position. During the qualifying process, confirm that Spireon’s products meet the prospect’s requirements and assist sales in technical qualification. Throughout the proposal process, articulate and demonstrate Spireon solutions, influence customer’s technical requirements, and position products relative to the competition. Working closely with Spireon’s sales team, the SE is responsible for all technical aspects of the sale during the entire sales cycle and is often involved with the client post purchase. Other duties will be assigned as necessary.

Responsibilities and Essential Functions

  • Develop and maintain an extensive working knowledge of Spireon’s hardware and software solutions
  • Define product and functional requirements based on customer and partner requirements
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and partners
  • Manage integration of solution into customer business functions
  • Work with Product Management to help understand emerging technologies in the Transportation telematics market
  • Communicate with various internal departments regarding product innovation and positioning in the market
  • Support sales team in responding to RFP’s

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in technical or business field of study or equivalent experience in the Transportation or Telematics industry
  • 5-10 years of Engineering or Telematics experience
  • Decision making, research, and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 Suite to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SQL Query etc.
  • Time management skills with the ability to organize, assess and prioritize multiple tasks, projects, and demands, be self-motivated, and to work independently.
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills and interact effectively at all levels of customer and partner’s organization. Must be willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Must be able to climb, work at various heights, and lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to rent a car and travel up to 50%.
  • Must have a credit card with a minimum available balance of $5000.00 for reimbursable travel expenses.
