Description

The Director Information Technology is a critical member of the Spire Technical leadership team. This position reports to the SVP R&D & IT and is responsible for cloud environments, business applications, helpdesk, system administration, operations, networks, security and scalability. This role will be the most senior member of the IT team and hence provide the vision and the leadership to guide the organization in support of its rapid growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategy & Planning - Responsible for development of the multi-year strategy and IT roadmap
  • Project Delivery - Provides leadership for the delivery of critical IT projects to improve reliability, scalability and security
  • Networks - Accountable for the maintenance and optimization of networks, data circuits and voice platforms
  • Cloud - Accountable for the effective management of AWS cloud environments
  • Business Applications – Provide support (upgrade, uptime, on boarding / off boarding, admin) for 3rd Party and Custom Business Applications
  • System Administration & Operations - Laptop management, on boarding / off boarding, software upgrades/patches
  • Vendor Management - Responsible for managing key vendor relationships and associated contracts
  • Risk & Compliance - Ensures compliance with security, data privacy, business continuity and other risk & compliance policies
  • Enterprise Performance - Establishing, monitoring, response services and reporting to meet Service Level Targets / Key Performance targets
  • Budgeting – Develops and manages the IT budget

  

Qualifications:

  • Experienced in all aspects of IT infrastructure & operations, including cloud environments, networks, voice, system administration/operations, business applications and end user support.
  • Strategic leadership skills - proven ability to create and communicate a vision, develop the strategy and roadmap and effectively lead the delivery
  • Strong people leadership skills - ability to attract, develop and retain talent
  • Good listener, ability to evolve approaches and thinking, open to change
  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships and collaborate with associates at all levels and across organizational groups
  • Passion to make a difference

  • BS in technical field, or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of experience managing an IT team
