What you’ll do
As the ZTG Director of Product Marketing, you’ll be responsible for market research, product launches, go-to-market, messaging and positioning for our product experience. You’ll work closely with a cross-functional team of product management, sales, marketing, enablement and creative teams to accelerate business growth.
The ideal candidate is a proven product marketing leader who can set strategic plans and roll-up their sleeves to complete tactical work when needed; can successfully lead cross-functional teams through influence; and is comfortable executing in highly ambiguous situations.
What will be your responsibilities
- Create and optimize messaging to clearly set customer expectations and communicate value to customers
- Evangelize the messaging to prospects, customers, and internal employees in meetings, webinars, company events, employee training sessions, and via publishing thought leadership material.
- Lead, develop and execute GTM strategy and plans for existing and new product releases
- Measure the effectiveness of product marketing strategies and pivot as necessary
- Work closely with product management to help shape our product roadmap based on customers’ real needs and competitive research
- Follow and analyze market trends and and provide actionable insights to product management and leadership
- Leverage third-party vendors (analyst firms, agencies, etc) in producing desired intelligence and outcomes
- Lead our efforts in standardizing product marketing in excellence and driving key engagement of stakeholders
- Take a data-driven approach to focus efforts and prioritize the most impactful activities to deliver KPIs and revenue growth
What does it take to do this job
- 8+ years of experience in product marketing, preferably in B2B or B2C media and/or data
- Proven track record in bringing concepts to commercialization: demonstrated success in analyzing market opportunities, defining market requirements, and managing go-to-market.
- Comfortable with technical, legal and financial language
- Experience with interpreting data and research
- Excellent written and verbal communications
- People management experience
- Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with clients and colleagues
- Creativity in problem solving
- Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, marketing, or relevant field of study
The annual salary range for this position is $130,000 - $150,000.
