What You’ll Do:

• Design and develop advanced applications and intelligent systems, including our suite of tools and applications (help desk, inventory, etc.) which are used daily by thousands of IT pros!
• Collaborate regularly with product team and design team counterparts, discussing product features and functionality, prioritization, etc.
• Conduct peer code reviews before committing to the code repository
• Unit-testing code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability
• Monitor and maintain (hotfixes) production systems
• Improve application performance and other non-functional requirements such as reliability
• Deliver peer-level technical talks on implemented functionalities
• Comply to coding standards that the organization has set
• Adapt the SCRUM software development process - participating in sprint planning, review, standup, and retrospectives

 What You Need:

• 2+ years experience in building web applications (REST APIs, MVC, VueJs, HTML, CSS, SCSS, etc.).
• Experience with frontend JavaScript frameworks (Vue, Ember, etc.)
• Experience with an object oriented or functional programming language (Ruby on Rails (preferred), Golang, Python)
• Experience with Agile and development collaboration tools (e.g. JIRA, Git).
• Has a solid software development foundation implementing design patterns, OOPs, and coding best practices.
• An understanding of the software development lifecycle: architecture and development, thorough testing, deployment, and monitoring of applications.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases preferred (Postgres, AWS Redshift, Athena).
• Bachelor’s or master's in engineering, computer science, or related field preferred but not mandatory.
