Spice Works Ziff Davis is seeking an FP&A Manager for all of our B2C & B2B technology brands to join our team. We are looking for someone who has the ability to work with large amounts of information, synthesize trends and insights, and communicate findings to an executive audience. You will have the ability to collaborate with business partners to transform operational data into insights, build working models to foresee challenges, and influence others to take action. We're looking for someone with demonstrated analytical experience who can operate independently and proactively, identify outliers, and use sound reasoning and logic to make decisions.

This is a full-time position reporting to the Sr. Director, FP&A.

What will be your responsibilities 

  • Ownership of reporting and metrics analysis (weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual)
  • Partner with cross-functional business counterparts to develop annual business plans and analyze year-to-date performance and historical trends; collaborate with responsible parties to develop action plans to close any identified gaps
  • Work cross-functionally with key partners in marketing, operations and analytics to develop business insights that uncover audience growth levers and opportunities to improve customer value
  • Update weekly and monthly presentations and provide relevant context for business reviews with leadership
  • Lead, innovate, and execute a range of value-creating projects to drive superior business results; ad hoc projects include data analysis, insights generation, and communication of results
  • Assist with the monthly close process by downloading actuals and comparing to budget and forecast. Provide variance explanations to help operating areas as well as our financial operations understand the drivers of our business each month

What does it take to do this job

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree is required, preferably with a major in finance or accounting
  • 4-7 years of relevant finance/strategy experience in digital media or publishing, must be well versed in e-commerce metrics (Click through Rate, Conversion Rate AOV, CAC etc)
  • Excellent communication; ability to distill complex analyses into structured outputs and present to all levels of management
  • Track record of successfully delivering analyses that drive tactical and strategic decision-making
  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills; experience building operating models and analyzing large data sets
  • Deliverable-focused, strong work ethic, able to prioritize, and resolve an array of issues simultaneously
  • Adaptive Insights experience preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills

The salary range for this position $115,000 - $125,000.
