What will be your responsibilities? 

  • The core responsibilities of a Sales Manager is to lead a team of Account Executives to acquire net new customers, manage them to meet top line goals.  
  • Set objectives, mentor and monitor the performance of your team through weekly meetings
  • Work closely with the Director of Sales to develop regular revenue forecasts, strategy and reporting of performance
  • Support team members in creating and executing longer term collaborations and partnerships with relevant brands 
  • Make relevant recommendations on product based on market feedback and advertising opportunities
  • Hire, train and retain new members of the team. Create a career path for your team members. 
  • Present accurate sales and revenue forecast to upper level management team on a weekly basis
  • Design and lead trainings focused on all stages of the sales process from prospecting through renewal
  • Ensure deliverability of campaigns sold by your respective teams through Internal collaboration with different departments
  • Build and implement scalable processes with the goal of improving sales effectiveness and efficiency
  • Build effective regular communication with the editorial teams and creative team to ensure current offering matches market demands.

What does it take to do this job?

  • 5+ Years of Sales Experience 
  • 3+ Years of management experience overseeing a quota carrying Sales Team 
  • Prior experience of using (reporting) Salesforce and Outreach would be an advantage
  • Advanced account management and relationship building skills to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business to maximize ongoing revenues
  • Advanced negotiation skills are essential
  • Well-developed communication skills with the ability to motivate and drive creativity amongst internal teams.
  • Entrepreneurial attitude towards business
  • The ability to analyze internal data to create a strategic business plan and execute on it
  • Understanding of KPI setting and expectations for campaigns
  • Experience selling display media, lead generation and online content
  • Preferred Senior agency and/or client direct relationships along with industry contacts
  • Excellent understanding of the media marketplace
  • Demonstrable presentation, communication sales & negotiation skills
  • Experience in managing business pipeline and reporting back to the business – Salesforce experience is essential 
  • Excellent People Management skills
  • Ability to utilize data to provide insight and sales strategies
