The Talent Acquisition Specialist will work in conjunction with management and staff to improve the recruiting function and to create a stronger hiring experience for both the candidate and the hiring manager. As the manager of the talent acquisition function and a member of the US HR team, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will have the opportunity to develop and enhance Human Resources processes and procedures as related to recruitment and employment branding.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Manages the talent acquisition process and maintains/develops recruitment metrics to effectively measure the success of the recruitment function.
  • Collaborates with managers to create job descriptions and develops recruiting strategies for open requisitions.
  • Determines appropriate recruiting sources for advertising and posting positions.
  • Negotiates and manages vendor contracts and relationships with staffing agencies (retained & contingent), job boards, job fairs and niche industry related employment sites.
  • Partners with local colleges, universities, and community agencies to fill open positions while increasing the company’s employment brand.
  • Acts as the main point of contact for the company’s applicant tracking system.
  • Determines salary ranges for open requisitions and negotiates salary offers with candidates.
  • Partners with the HR team and other departments to develop a robust onboarding program ensuring a consistent engagement experience for new hires.
  • Conducts facility tours for new hires, colleges and local community partners.
  • Effectively manages the company’s employment brand in order to ensure a consistent company image.
  • Manages the talent management efforts and employee referral program.
  • Manages the pre-employment drug screening, background check and electronic I-9 processes.
  • Contributes to company-wide human resources projects and initiatives as needed.
  • Keeps abreast current recruiting trends and best practices with the ability to flex and think outside the box.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR / Business Administration or related field.
  • 5+ years of full life cycle recruiting experience.
  • PHR, SPHR, or SHRM Certification preferred.
  • Proficiency of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate and build relationships; outstanding interpersonal communication, and customer service skills required.
  • Ability to manage multiple searches expeditiously.
  • Flexibility to scale from administrative tasks to strategic projects.
