Summary

The Project Manager is the primary project leader and team facilitator within the Global Quality teamHe/she is responsible for strategic and tactical quality projects that are site based, global based, continuous improvement, and other projects as needed.  This position can be based in any of our locations, or it can be remote.

 

JOB DUTIES

  • Provides Project Management, team facilitation for projects throughout the organization
  • Manages strategic customer initiatives or capital projects as assigned.
  • Assembles, leads directs, and encourages high performing cross functional teams.
  • Achieves cost, quality, delivery, and performance targets.
  • Encourages opportunities and manages risk.
  • Provides regular status updates to the Executive Staff including cost, timing, milestones, risks, etc.
  • Manages multiple projects of various complexities and product families at one time.
  • Facilitates corrective action and team problem solving.
  • Helps mature the organization through continuous improvement and sharing of best practices.
  • Other duties as assigned by management

 

REQUIREMENTS
  • 15+ years of experience with complex project management in a cross functional teaming environment, or equivalent.
    Must also have experience in electronics manufacturing environment, including familiarity with ISO 13485.
  • 10+ years of demonstrated leadership/functional management experience (may be concurrent).
  • Strong communications skills, as well as presentation skills
  • Strong knowledge in Project Management, including scheduling, planning & resource management and project financial acumen
  • Data analysis & critical thinking skills
  • Team leadership skills, including encouraging creative problem-solving skills and proven team facilitator skills
  • Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project / Sciforma / ePPM / or equivalent
  • PMP Preferred, but not required
  • Lean Manufacturing preferred, but not required
  • Lean Six Sigma certification preferred, but not required

 

Working Conditions

Remote position is approved; resident in a Spellman facility is approved; some travel will be required (less than 25%).  Most projects will incorporate MS TEAMS, ZOOM, Skype, or similar audio/visual tools.
