Entry Level / Jr. Electromechanical Engineer -- Engineering Laboratory  

Responsibilities

  1. Read and follow technical drawings, schematics in AutoCAD, Altium, P-CAD and issue changes as required.
  2. Build Engineering prototypes for new or modified product development.
  3. Assemble chassis, racks, and top assembly units by following drawings, procedures, manufacturing instruction operation sheets, BOM's.
  4. Perform Laboratory Testing of products and development prototypes under supervision of Electrical Engineer using HMI based graphic user interface and a full hardware setup.
  5. Prepare and maintain technical documents such as acceptance test procedure, blue books, and product manuals.
  6. Perform bench level troubleshooting of Power Electronics Subassemblies that are used in our power sources for X- Ray generators.
  7. Work with the test technicians, assemblers, manufacturing department to answer any questions/concerns on new and existing products and procedures.
  8. Work with cross functional team members in Mexico and Hauppauge under supervision of Engineer.

Requirements

  1. Must be able to work from Engineering Drawings, BOM’s, and work instructions.
  2. Able to identify component symbols and have excellent soldering skills.
  3. Familiarity with measuring instruments such as digital multimeters , Oscilloscopes, thermal probes.
  4. Good soldering skills.
  5. Computer literate.
  6. Knowledge of power Supply hardware will be a plus.
  7. Will be required to lift approximately 40 lbs.
