Information Security Intern

The Information Security Intern will support the daily operations of the Information Security team, assisting with the resolution of trouble tickets, responding and prioritizing emails and incidents while assisting users. The intern will also assist in the development of processes and procedure to support the ISO/IEC 27001 initiative. The intern will follow steps outlined in the ISO specification and use the templates that have been created for each step in the outlined sequence. The following are minimum skills required; additional challenges are available for candidates who demonstrate the ability and desire.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Effective communication skills
- Understanding and desire to work in Information Security
- Basic networking knowledge
- Windows and Linux proficiency
- data analytics
- Solid programing foundation, python a plus
Working conditions are normal for both an office and manufacturing environment. Must be able to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time; able to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist and reach on a daily basis; able to perform general office administrative activities: copying, filing, delivering and using the telephone and using a text messaging. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, work boots and hardhats. Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.
