The Systems Administrator will be responsible for managing, monitoring, and maintaining the enterprise's IT major systems and infrastructure, ensuring security, reliability, availability, and accessibility across all pillars. In addition to the core responsibilities, the Systems Administrator may also be involved in some areas of IT operations such as reviewing and managing vendors, equipment inventory, products licenses, seeking new (useful) technologies, meeting with different teams to review major requirements and requests, and help in developing the IT department. In addition, the role will cover managing the enterprise’s network infrastructure, database, applications support, virtualization, and info/cybersecurity.
 
Job Responsibilities
  • Administrate, configure, manage, and monitor cloud-based and on-premises IT infrastructure, including but not limited to: AD (on-prem and Azure), Domain Controllers, Windows Server 2019 and 2016, Microsoft Exchange Hybrid 2019, AD Connect, Hyper-V, SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365 Admin Center, Cisco Meraki, Cisco FTD, Cisco DUO, and ArcticWolf. 
  • Administrate, monitor, and manage all servers (physical and virtual); including patching and modifying as needed. Also, the ability to set up and deploy new VMs on Hyper-V. 
  • Manage and monitor user accounts and access controls, including security settings, group policies, and synchronization between on-premises directories and online environment. 
  • Monitor systems performance, respond to system alerts and issues, and troubleshoot technical problems in a timely and efficient manner. 
  • Manage all different entities of the organization (main domain and subdomains/acquired entities’ domains). 
  • Provide Level 3 and beyond technical support to users, including responding to help desk tickets, resolving technical issues, working with the helpdesk team on lower-level tickets, and providing training and guidance as needed. 
  • Check, schedule, and install systems updates and upgrades, including the deployment of major patches, Windows updates, and other software updates. 
  • Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations, including the implementation of disaster recovery plans and testing. 
  • Help with conducting security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate potential security risks and implement security policies and procedures to maintain compliance with industry regulations. 
  • Take part in evaluating and recommending new technologies, tools, and solutions to improve organization’s systems and endpoints performance, security, and productivity. 
  • Be part of future systems and entities migrations; lead the migration team. 
  • Create and maintain system documentation and procedures, including user guides, technical specifications, and project plans. 
  • Understand AI and its uses in the workplace; work with the IT team on deploying and leveraging AI to help take advantage of the technology toward better outcomes and deliverables. 
Desired Skills and Qualifications 
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in Active Directory, Domain Controllers, Windows Server 2019 and 2016, Exchange Hybrid 2019, and Hyper-V.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Azure AD, SharePoint Online (Sites and Document Center), Microsoft 365 Admin Center, Cisco FTD, and Cisco Meraki.
  • Bachelor's degree or relevant associate degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
  • Good knowledge of MFA solutions (Cisco DUO in particular).
  • Experience in managing spam filters platforms (Abnormal Security) and backup solutions (Rubrik).
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex, advanced technical problems with critical deadlines.
  • Good knowledge of Cybersecurity and information security, with the ability to read security alerts and take the appropriate initial actions.
  • Managerial and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and with teams.
  • Ability to provide remote support to different teams on different levels, stretching up and down as needed.
  • Ability to provide support outside of working hours for urgent cases.
  • Ability to travel for work when needed.
 
The anticipated salary range for this position will be $90K-$110K. Salary is based on job-related factors such as: years of relevant experience, qualifications and/or certifications. Spectrum reserves the right to modify this pay range at any given time.
