The Director, Marketing & Corporate Communications will be responsible for shaping and executing marketing and communication strategies that align with Spectrum’s business objectives, amplify brand presence, and foster connection across internal and external audiences.
This role requires a strategic communicator and marketer with strong leadership skills to ensure clear and consistent communications across the enterprise. This person will collaborate closely with senior leadership, strategic pillars and various departments to drive impactful narratives and campaigns that elevate visibility, enhance reputation, drive qualified leads and align with the company’s mission and values. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with the ability to roll up their sleeves and execute passionate about change management, adept at delivering clear and impactful messaging, and a creative problem solver who continuously explores new ways to engage key audiences across our paid, owned and earned channels.
Job Responsibilities
  • Develop, lead, and drive forward internal and external communications strategies to ensure clarity, alignment, inclusivity, and cultural connection that tell a compelling and consistent Spectrum story.
  • Serve as the MarComms Business partner for assigned pillars leading day-to-day Marcomms initiatives in collaboration with in-pillar SMEs ensuring alignment with enterprise goals and priorities. Influence outcomes in cross-functional partnerships through trust and clarity.
  • Develop Marcomms KPIs and use data-driven insights to inform decision making, analyzing campaign performance and trends.
  • Serve as the trusted advisor to key leaders, crafting impactful narratives that connect key moments into inspiring, big-picture strategies. Develop content for internal and external audiences across all levels for use across channels.
  • Demonstrate understanding of available marketing tools and use cases, proactively partnering with SMEs to incorporate best practices into initiatives.
  • Develop strategies which utilize clear and impactful storytelling externally, through earned and sponsored media opportunities to maximize business opportunities
  • Elevate storytelling as a strategic tool for organizational culture and alignment, leveraging digital competencies to amplify impact, while leveraging foundational communication and listening skills as a baseline expectation rather than the centerpiece.
  • Transform data, achievements, and strategy into stories that inspire understanding and foster a shared sense of purpose.
  • Play a key role in evolving and maintaining the agency’s brand voice and tone, and visual identity.
  • Collaborate with the growth team to lead and support external marketing activities including prospecting events, paid campaigns and targeted activities.
  • Monitor industry trends and proactively craft thought leadership that inserts the agency into relevant conversations.
Desired Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing or related field.
  • 6-8 years of agency or brand experience, ideally in a marketing and communications role.
  • Experience with marketing automation, CRM, social and creative tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, Canva, Hootsuite, etc).
  • People-first mindset with the emotional intelligence to support teams through change, challenge, and growth. Confidently use data and analytics to inform strategy, measure performance, and optimize marketing and communications efforts.
  • A collaborative mindset and skilled at building relationships across teams and external partners with an ability to work closely with leadership, creative, growth, and external partners.
  • Experienced in navigating sensitive topics and executive communication with clarity, tact, and confidentiality.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to execute across multiple workstreams.
The anticipated salary range for this position will be $115,000-$135,000. Salary is based on job-related factors such as: years of relevant experience, qualifications and/or certifications. Spectrum reserves the right to modify this pay range at any given time.
