Software Engineer I
Summary Description The Software Engineer I is an entry-level professional focused on developing core technical skills and learning the software development lifecycle. Working under close supervision, they contribute to the codebase by completing well-defined tasks and gaining familiarity with the product architecture.
Essential Functions
  1. Develop, test, and maintain code for simple features and bug fixes under guidance. 
  2. Participate in code reviews to learn coding standards and best practices. 
  3. Write and execute unit tests to ensure basic functional reliability. 
  4. Assist in the documentation of technical processes and API behaviors. 
  5. Attend and contribute to daily stand-ups and sprint planning meetings. 
Additional Responsibilities
  1. Engage in self-directed learning to master the team’s tech stack. 
  2. Provide support to the Verification and Test team during testing cycles. 
  3. Help maintain internal development environments and tools. 
  4. Participate in internal training and professional development sessions. 
Qualifications
0–2 years of experience in software engineering
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Work Environment
This role is primarily in an office and cubicle work environment with climate control and moderate noise.
 
Candidates must reside within commuting distance of our Boulder, CO office. Relocation assistance is not available. Only local candidates will be considered
 
Compensation: $85 - 90K/ year.  While this salary range is a good faith and reasonable estimate, a candidate’s actual salary will be competitive based on a variety of factors including the candidate’s knowledge, skills, and experience.
