Media Handling Technician - Fixed Term Project Based

Job Title: Media Handling Technician
Duration: Part Time, Project Based.
Location: In Office - Bracknell
Job Purpose:
To support the end-to-end handling, preparation, and certification of media (data tapes) for a large-scale projects. This includes managing deliveries, preparing and labelling media, operating within a data centre environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Goods Receipt & Preparation
- Receive incoming deliveries and verify contents against delivery documentation.
- Unpack and transport received goods to the production room (1st Floor via lift).
Media Preparation
- Load blank tapes into empty TeraPacks.
- Affix barcode labels to tapes within TeraPacks.
- Relocate prepared media to the data centre (Ground Floor).
Certification Process
- Load TeraPacks into T950 and TFinity within the data centre.
- Prepare the next batch of media during calibration periods.
- Unload tapes upon completion of the certification process.
Packing & Shipping
- Pack TeraPacks into boxes for shipment.
- Stack and bind pallets for dispatch
Skills & Experience Required:
- Must be able to lift heavy boxes and be physically able to move materials safely (with lift access provided)
- Comfortable working in both production and data centre environments.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in labelling, tracking, and packing.
- Good communication skills - be highly collaborative with cross functional teams
- Preferred: Previous experience in warehouse operations, or data/media handling
Additional Information:
- This is a project-based position, expected to last for the duration of the media certification and shipment project.
- Working hours and schedule based on project needs. Must be willing to work over the weekend as needed for project completion.
- Training and guidance on the T950 and TFinity systems and internal procedures will be provided.
