Description

We are looking for an experienced, self-motivated Buyer to manage our day-to-day procurement operations and supplier relationships. In this role, you will take ownership of sourcing materials, mitigating supply risks, and ensuring our manufacturing schedules run smoothly.

What You'll Do

  • Manage Purchasing & MRP: Oversee purchase orders, balance inventory levels against production needs, and use data to proactively spot shortages or demand changes.

  • Build Strong Supplier Partnerships: Act as the primary contact for vendors, leading regular check-ins, driving accountability for quality and delivery, and negotiating favorable terms.

  • Lead Supplier Quality & Onboarding: Partner with Quality and Engineering teams to qualify vendors, manage corrective actions, and track performance metrics.

  • Handle End-of-Life (EOL) & Supply Risks: Identify material risks early, manage component lifecycles, and coordinate last-time buys or alternate sourcing strategies.

  • Drive Commercial & Data Insights: Leverage ERP systems and advanced Excel capabilities (pivot tables, lookups) to analyze trends, reduce costs, and optimize processes.

What You'll Bring

  • Background: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Operations (or equivalent hands-on experience).

  • Experience: 3+ years proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain within a manufacturing environment.

  • Supplier & EOL Expertise: Prior success managing vendor relationships, component lifecycles, and performance issues with minimal supervision.

  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and advanced Excel data analysis.

  • Key Strengths: Great negotiation, communication, and proactive problem-solving skills.

  • Location: Candidates must reside within commuting distance of our Boulder, CO office. Relocation assistance is not available. Only local candidates will be considered

    Compensation: $75,000 - 90,000./ year. While this salary range is a good faith and reasonable estimate, a candidate’s actual salary will be competitive based on a variety of factors including the candidate’s knowledge, skills, and experience.
