THAAD Systems Engineer
Location: Huntsville, AL
 
JOB DESCRIPTION: 
Willbrook Solutions, an SAS Company, is eagerly seeking a Systems Engineer to join our team! In this role, you will support the THAAD Weapon System engineering directorate of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). 
Your role will be supporting the THAAD Agile development as a critical component of the planning and execution of the Iterative Engineering Technical Reviews (IETRs) program. The candidate will ensure the prime contractor is implementing the required engineering rigor and processes that will deliver a technically sound capability to the Warfighter, from requirements definition throughout development and verification efforts. The candidate's key areas of focus will be evaluating the program implementation of MDA processes and standards. In addition, the candidate will support THAAD Core Standards through the Variance, Alternate, or Citation processes. The candidate will also review and coordinate with the contractor to Verify requirements. 
 
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: 
  • 12+ years of related engineering/system engineering experience, preferably with THAAD or MDA engineering programs
  • BA/BS with 20+ years of experience 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications
  • Able to work independently and/or lead teams to analyze and resolve problems
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 
  • MA/MS Degree
  • Familiarity and past experience with THAAD, the Missile Defense Agency,  and/or other complex Missile Defense systems
  • Familiarity and experience with missile defense components development, test, production, and integration
  • Support Systems Engineering Milestone Reviews, boards, and working level meetings by assisting in developing agendas and content, comprehending action items, and assisting in resolving issues as required, tracking actions to completion, providing meeting summaries, capturing lessons learned, and any other duties as needed by the Government Customer 
  • Assist in the development and presentation of executive and program-level briefings and informational papers
  • Strong interpersonal skills to coordinate across the THAAD Program Office, the supporting MDA stakeholders (CA, DE, etc), and the prime contractor  
  • Experience with Digital Engineering tools (i.e., Doors, Windchill, Qlik) explaining technical information and possess exceptional technical writing and Government reporting/documentation skills
  • Proficiency in written and verbal skills as well as MS Office
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver products on schedule
  • Capability to develop program briefings to senior-level personnel
  • Capable of performing as a member of a team and assisting with solving complex problems
  • Travel as required to support oversight, meetings, reviews, etc.
This position is contingent upon contract award.
