Location: Huntsville, AL
Willbrook Solutions an SAS Company is seeking an Engineer/Analyst to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Ground-based Midcourse (GMD) Flight and Ground Test Analysis team. The candidate will work as part of a multi-discipline team to support the pre- and post- test performance analysis of flight and ground tests as part of an executable Missile Defense System (MDS) Test Program for the MDA.
RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS:
- Perform the technical analysis of GMD Fire Control and Kill Vehicle flight and ground test data.
- Review test requirements and define pre-mission test cases and scenarios.
- Support the planning and coordination of technical analyses from multiple analysis teams from across the MDA agency.
- Document analysis assessments and visualizations in technical briefings for GMD and MDA Leadership.
- Develop analysis tools in MATLAB and/or Python to support analysis assessments and visualizations.
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
- Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET or higher-level clearance. An active Final SECRET clearance is desired, but candidates without but able to obtain and maintain a SECRET or higher-level clearance will be evaluated and considered.
- MS in Engineering from an ABET-accredited Program with a minimum 12 years’ relevant experience; or a BS in Engineering from an ABET-accredited Program with a minimum 20 years’ experience.
- Experience using MATLAB, Python/Anaconda, or similar advanced programming language.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multi-discipline team.
- Ability to manage and support multiple various tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to brief Senior DoD officials on task status and analysis findings.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Experience with missile defense systems, including advanced radars, missiles, fire control, and/or command and control (C2) systems.
- Experience with ballistic missile threats, targets, and/or interceptors.
- Experience performing technical data analysis, and documenting results in technical briefings.
- Knowledge of RF signatures and RADAR systems, techniques, and algorithms, and utilization in missile defense systems.
- Knowledge of IR signatures and utilization of IR data by missile interceptors.
- Experience with Verification, Validation, and Accreditation (VV&A) processes.
SECURITY REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET or higher-level clearance
