Aerospace Assembly Technician

Your Role
 
SAS FF’s manufacturing team is critical to executing our missions. As an Aerospace Assembly Technician, you will play a critical role in significantly impacting the company and industry. SAS Flight Factory is seeking to grow our elite team with an exceptional Aerospace Assembly Technician.  As an Assembly Technician on this team, you will ensure a quality product through robust assembly, test operations and deburr tasks.  You will be part of a successful team working in a hands-on, fast-paced, dynamic environment. The candidate selected for this position will support our aerospace customers' hardware needs with a combination of wiring assembly, mechanical assembly, and deburr skills.  This position reports directly to the Assembly/ Deburr Supervisor.
 
To qualify for this role, we require candidates to have the following:
  • 2+ years of applicable experience
  • Understanding of the principles, concepts, and methods of harness assembly, mechanical assembly deburr, and testing operations in an aerospace environment
  • Must be proficient in using standard inspection equipment - calipers, micrometers, pin gages, height gages, etc.
  • Ability to consistently execute assembly and deburr processes while maintaining 5S standards
  • Installation of hardware- such as helicoils, rivets, bushings, etc.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
  • Maintains an environment of trust, accountability, and teamwork
  • Ability to effectively communicate with Management, Engineering, and Operators
In addition, we are most interested in candidates who also have:
  • Specialized training and experience and/or an associate degree from a technical school
  • Experience with laser marking, soldering, high voltage testing, deburr tooling
  • Experience in root cause and corrective action techniques
  • Sound judgment, high energy, and creative
  • Knowledge of and experience in MIL-spec practices
  • CPI_J-STD-001H Certification with Space addendum
  • IPC/WHMA-A-620D Certification with Space addendum
How You Will Be Rewarded
 
The annual base salary range for this role is $45,000 to $60,000. Compensation depends on the candidate’s work experience, education/training, and related skills.
