A day in the life of a Driver for our Central Kitchen is to safely drive a straight truck to deliver Central Kitchen products to local retail stores. Load, unload, verify accuracy of delivery, complete necessary paperwork and pick up return airflow crates for the Central Kitchen location. Perform routine vehicle inspection and operate vehicle in a safe and efficient manner.

What You'll Do:

  • Responsible to safely drive a straight truck to deliver Central Kitchen products to local specified customers; communicate with supervisors and retail personnel as appropriate
  • Load orders on truck(s); complete assigned loading tasks within a timely manner to meet customer delivery times; responsible for pallet loading product from staging area onto designated truck in delivery sequence order.
  • Lift products weighing between 30 lbs. frequently and products weighing up to 50 lbs. occasionally, while ensuring and maintaining a safe work environment and adherence to safety guidelines; always follow established safety procedures when driving, moving products from dock doors, etc.
  • Responsible to perform post-trip duties, fuel truck as necessary; secure truck, complete and record deliveries/pick-ups, provide all paperwork to appropriate office personnel as required.
  • Perform simple vehicle maintenance (i.e. clean interiors and exteriors, take vehicle for state inspection, filling tires with air, etc.)

  • High School Diploma (Preferred) or GED (Preferred)
  • Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions must follow safe working practices in accordance with Company safety policies and practices
  • Ability to work in a multi-temperature areas
