A day in the life of a Dispatcher is never the same but, in this role, you will be responsible for dispatching driver schedules/routes and working with customers and warehouse operations to ensure accurate, timely and efficient operations, while providing a high level of customer service.

What you'll Do:

  • Responsible for dispatching driver schedules/routes for load pick-up and deliveries and working with customers and warehouse operations to ensure accurate, timely and efficient operations, while providing a high level of customer service
  • Ensure timely follow-up, resolution and response to any route planning or delivery timing issues that may arise; work with Transportation Supervisors as appropriate
  • Maintain and update the department dispatch/communication log/software according to department procedures. Ensure information is accurate and up-to-date to ensure drivers understand all requirements for the scheduled delivery/pick-up (i.e., equipment/truck/trailer used, delivery location, pick-up/delivery time and documentation procedures, etc.) at all times during the dispatch shift
  • Review, verify and process driver delivery paperwork
  • Ensure adherence to company safety and sanitation policies and procedures, as well as all DOT rules and regulations
  • Work with Transportation/Logistics team to schedule appointments and assist the drivers with questions or issues related to delivery appointments

  • Associate degree (Preferred) Business Administration or Supply Chain o rother related area
  • High School Diploma (Required) or GED
  • Two (2) years logistics/transportation experience. Must have basic knowledge of dispatch operations
