A day in the life of a Transportation Supervisor is never the same but, in this role, you can make a positive impact as you supervise the day to day transportation department activities within assigned area(s) such as dispatching, routing, product/equipment security and equipment maintenance.

What You'll Do:

  • Monitor driver schedules to include DOT hours, breaks, additional stops, total hours, etc.
  • Ensure compliance with distribution procedures and governmental regulations (i.e., DOT regulations, FMCSA regulations, safety, sanitation, etc.)
  • Oversee, review and/or approve driver incoming paperwork, driver logs and files, hours reporting, submission of driver payroll, and other transportation related activities
  • Review on-board computer/logs
  • Lead shift meetings and maintain labor agreement admin

Sound Like You? Here's what you'll need:
  • 3 years combined transportation and/or supply chain operations experience required
  • Transportation experience within food distribution preferred
  • Experience working with union employees
  • Knowledge of transportation/logistics activities such as FMCSA/CSA compliance, DOT requirements, dispatching, backhauls, contract carriers, local regulations, etc.
  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse workplace and work flexible hours
  • Knowledge of transportation on-boarding software required; experience with Cadec preferred
  • Knowledge of dispatch software (CAMS, etc.) and/or routing software (JDA) and MS Office
