Configuration Management Analyst

Configuration Management Dahlgren, Virginia



SCCI is looking for a motivated Mid-Level Configuration Management Analyst that will perform CM related functions. This position is located in Dahlgren, VA.


  • Perform configuration management / data management functions: planning, configuration identification, status accounting, configuration control and audits, data management
  • Perform meeting secretariat functions: generate agendas, accurately capture/distribute highlights, minutes and action items for Change Control Boards (CCB)
  • Attend and participate in various Baseline (B/L), Working Groups, and Integrated Program Reviews meetings and brief documentation production, scheduling, and delivery status at Program Office and Certification Panel meetings
  • Prepare correspondence, plans, and reports for assigned program(s) and customer(s)
  • Maintain data records and libraries with updated status accounting information
  • Represent the CM team at program meetings ensuring that CM concerns are communicated and impacts to CM are brought back for issue resolution
  • Perform equipment, software and/or documentation audits and develop audit reports
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of CM processes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) 

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and have an ACTIVE SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE
  • Must have an understanding of the 5 Functional Areas of CM which include:
    • Configuration Planning
    • Configuration Control
    • Configuration identification
    • Configuration Status Accounting
    • Configuration Audit
  • Must be fluent in Change Control Board Secretariat support
  • Proficient with MS Office Products
  • Ability to collect data from different sources and pull information from reports
  • Ability to work independently and effectively communicate within a team environment and across organizational levels to include co-workers, managers, and government customers
  • Excellent written communication skills; working knowledge of word processing and integrated software applications; organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work are required

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • 5 years of experience in DoD configuration management, software CM experience would be ideal
  • Possession of excellent organizational, time management, and problem solving skills
  • Top Secret Clearance
