This immediate full-time opening is the perfect opportunity for an individual who has a desire to grow in rights or international sales, has impeccable attention to detail, and wants to make a big impact on our ability to put books in the hands of readers around the globe!

What you’ll be doing:

Manage portfolio of domestic and international subrights including select foreign translation as well as book clubs and basic reprint licenses

Sales management of key open market territories

International marketing, including creation of international marketing materials, working on title campaigns with international publicity partners, and coordinating with international influencers

Working with Production, Art, Editorial, and Impact Marketing to gather information and materials to provide to licensees before and after rights deals are made

Preparing rights guides, international catalogs, and informational grids as preparation for international book fairs, international sales conference, and domestic presentations

Researching and answering inquiries from subagents, reps, and licensees as well as pulling weekly reports

Assisting in logistics and execution of orders for international sales

Must be comfortable travelling up to 25% of the time once travel is permitted

You’ll be a great fit if you have:

3+ years of experience in Subsidiary Rights, preferably in book publishing 

Bachelor’s degree in a related field

Superior attention to detail, problem-solving skills and negotiation skills.

A self-starter who can take initiative, change focus when necessary, and in a fast-paced environment

Excellent communication skills; written, verbal, and presentation

SAP experience a plus

Spanish language proficiency a plus
