Security Technical Specialist

Job function

  • You will be bringing technical pre-sales support to the sales team, working closely with them to deal with both new and existing customers.
  • You will be working within our clients’ cloud and virtualization team, where they will be focusing on software from Microsoft, VMware and Citrix.
  • You will also be helping to design solutions for the customer by supporting them and providing recommendations, while helping to implement these solutions.
  • This role is a high impact, very visible role responsible for ensuring pervasive enterprise adoption of Cloud and Mobility solutions, and closing enterprise transactions within assigned accounts.  
  • To lead and drive Microsoft C3 workshop with sales team and to follow up on upselling Microsoft Security Products and Solutions to customers.

Key responsibilities

  • Collaborate on the commercial process conducted by Account Managers at the time of the presales and the closing of sales, determining in conjunction with them, the solution that should be applied to the project to ensure the business setup that will contribute to fulfilment  of strategic plans in terms of return, margin and market share position;
  • Develops actions aimed to create new business opportunities with clients who are being part or have been part of a project, to ensure continuity of sales, fidelity and an increase of the purchaser portfolio;
  • Stays updated studying the new technologies and to be certified by vendors and organizations that provide products to ensure the technical skills needed for performing the position in accordance with the guidelines set forth by the company;
  • Develops technology demos and presents to clients the different platforms in use to promote sales and increase revenues;
  • Implements new platforms with clients, improves operative platforms, provides support, develops solutions, conducts consulting services, quotations, and manages projects to ensure their development and execution within the terms, conditions and within the margin and return defined by Softline;  
  • Assesses the sales plan together with AMs, defining the scope of the proposal, creating the commercial proposal document for the client, and following up the sale until technical approval is granted and the sale is closed, in accordance with commercial plans.  

Skills and Experience

  • Relevant qualification: either CISSP / CompTIA Security+ / MTA / MCSA / MCSE / AZ 500 / MS 500
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Relevant experience in deployment and technical support of security solutions
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience with Azure applications, Azure cloud VM configuration and deployment
    • Office 365 deployment / configuration
    • Proficient with routing / switching concepts (2+ years)
  • Experience working with some or all technologies below:
    • Microsoft Azure Active Directory
    • Microsoft Advanced Threat Analytics
    • Microsoft Cloud App Security
    • Microsoft Exchange (2010 / 2012 / 2016)
    • Microsoft Windows 7 / 8 / 10
    • Microsoft Windows Server 2008 / 2012 / 2016 / 2019
    • Group Policy Management and Deployment
    • Azure Active Directory sites deployment / configuration, plus Active Directory Schema and Forest configuration
    • Log management / SIEM solutions such as QRadar, Splunk, LogRhythm or AlienVault
