Your role

We have created an opportunity for a self-motivated and talented Communications Manager to design and lead the communications strategy for Softcat.  This new position offers the opportunity of shaping the Softcat story to inform, educate and inspire internal and external audiences.   You will deliver a new level of customer engagement and brand recognition by working collaboratively with wider business stakeholders and other marketing functions to produce the highest quality content and suites of assets that are indisputably award winning.

You will be motivated by the opportunity to plan and execute a 360 degree communications journey with touchpoints ranging from corporate and executive communications, thought leadership, press releases, articles, and media opportunities to engaging ways of sharing the products, services and value propositions we offer.


The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, with exceptional presentation, media and organizational skills.

A true wordsmith with a passion for innovating audience engagement opportunities.

What we need from you

  • Extensive track record of success gained within a corporate communications environment executing and innovating communications to support high growth business strategies
  • Substantial experience leading communications workflow, workload, resources and strategic projects commensurate with a corporate FTSE 250 technology company
  • Able to demonstrate a strong network of influential media relationships, through outstanding communication and interpersonal skills Outstanding time and project management skills
  • Degree educated (ideally post-graduate) in English, PR, communications or a closely related field
  • A positive, proactive attitude with the ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure.
