The role

The Strategic Finance team enables SoFi to develop and execute on its growth strategy by driving strong financial decision making, built on strong relationships and grounded in facts

This individual will be a central resource on the Strategic Finance team responsible for financial planning, reporting, and analysis related to SoFi Bank as well as supporting other company-wide strategic planning initiatives.

The ideal candidate must possess strong communication/presentation skills and demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a highly visible cross-functional role. The candidate must be well-grounded in the fundamentals of corporate finance and possess strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage complex company wide and bank specific financial models inclusive of multiple products (lending, deposits, and cards) and entities 

  • Establish trusted relationships with cross-functional leaders to articulate and oversee the “single source of truth” of key financial and performance metrics

  • Provide analysis and tools to support key decisions across the Bank and the Company. Collect and analyze data to determine costs of business activities and processes.

  • Drive creation of materials for Executive and Board presentations for both the bank and company wide strategic initiatives 

  • Support the design of new processes to improve the quality and productivity of the finance team and the business in general.

  • Collaborate with Corporate Development & Strategic Partnerships teams on financial analysis of potential transactions that affect SoFi Bank and/or other business units within SoFi 

What you’ll need:

  • 7+ years of experience in rigorous, analytical environments; ideally with some experience in Investment Banking, Consulting, or Corporate Finance

  • Financial services industry experience preferred

  • A deep understanding of financial reporting and P&L Management

  • Experience preparing and presenting information to key decision-makers

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Google Docs/Sheets/Slides

  • Collaborative working style and demonstrated ability to build strong cross-functional relationships

  • Inquisitive nature, attention to detail, diligence and a good attitude

  • Willingness to embrace unstructured environments and problems

  • Time and project management skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting or a related field

  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills

  • Results-orientation and willingness to roll-up sleeves to accomplish tasks

  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, high-growth environment
