The Lifecycle Marketing Specialist sits at the cross-roads of our Product Marketing team, our Lifecycle/CRM team, Product team, and our Analytics/Data Science teams. This role focuses on campaign execution and requires a candidate with the ability to understand business needs and objectives & digest powerful data insights, who can then translate those into actionable and effective campaigns that leverage consistent cross-channel communications, highly personalized content, and precise targeting. This role will work with stakeholders in our San Francisco office, so schedule adjustment to Pacific Time working hours will often be necessary.
This position is to be based in our Murray, Utah office and is not a remote position.
What you’ll do:
Own the coding/building, approval process, and deployment of assigned lifecycle marketing campaigns; contribute strategic thought leadership to the team’s campaign testing & optimization strategies
Under the direction of a Lifecycle Marketing Manager or Senior Manager, execute data-driven marketing initiatives utilizing a campaign management tool (Cheetahmail, RedPoint & Braze preferred); perform activities such as audience selection, trigger qualification, suppressions, segmentation and arbitration
Consolidate and confirm the accuracy of prospect and/or customer audience data when building campaign audience segmentations
Execute daily email campaigns (each weekday) for the SoFi daily financial digest email program with stakeholders in the Pacific (US) time zone; assist in the execution of other lifecycle campaigns (manual or automated) delivered through various marketing channels (e.g. Email, Push, In-App Messaging, SMS, Digital, Social, OBC, etc.) on an as-needed basis
Develop, enforce, and perform quality control activities to ensure processing completes in a timely manner and the output is accurate and complete
Work with a Lifecycle Marketing Manager or Senior Manager to understand and provide tactical feedback regarding campaign objectives, data specifications, technical requirements, etc.
Produce campaign performance reports using analytically derived model outputs to share test outcomes, highlight campaign business impact, and inform future testing strategies
What you’ll need:
Bachelor’s Degree in either marketing, economics, statistics, or computer science (or equivalent experience)
1-2 years of HTML coding experience
Knowledge of relational databases, real-time event data, data structures and querying language (e.g. select, merge, join, group by, etc)
An aptitude to learn new tools and software quickly
Ability to document campaign steps/procedures, testing outcomes, and campaign performance (KPI) results
Diligent adherence to best practices & QA procedures
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload to ensure project deadlines are met and campaign assets produced are of the highest quality
Nice to have:
Experience writing SQL statements for data extraction a plus
Experience working with real-time web and app event data a plus
Understanding of Lifecycle marketing vernacular a plus (e.g. modeling, segmentation, test design, control groups, etc.)
Prior experience with campaign management tools a plus (e.g. Braze, RedPoint, Unica, Aprimo, Alteryx, Adobe Campaign etc.)
