The role

SoFi is seeking an energetic, organized, and resourceful Marketing Associate who can work in a fast-paced environment. Our Marketing Associate will  help to manage all direct mail creative development, review, and tracking. We’re looking for a highly driven, self-starting problem solver who is looking to work collaboratively to make a big impact.  Our ideal candidate has outstanding interpersonal skills as well as strong written/verbal communication chops. 

What you’ll do:

  • Must be well versed in Google tools (Sheets, Docs, Slides, etc.) to manage 40+ direct mail tests / variations per month

  • Help manage production calendar, tracking daily milestones such as data due, release, and drop dates. 

  • Create tracking URLs for monthly campaigns through SoFi’s internal UTM creation process 

  • Manage all direct mail suppressions and deliver to vendors 

  • Monitor / update creative roadmap with upcoming direct mail data and creative tests

  • Create and maintain DM production sample library and competitive DM library. 

  • Send out monthly emails to entire marketing department on direct mail competitive trends 

  • Manage all direct mail creative assets, creative round reviews, and compliance and legal reviews of direct mail materials before they release to the print shop

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 1-3 years in a marketing, public relations, communications or business development role for a fast-paced company, with 1-2 of those years working in direct mail.

  • Knowledge of the entire Direct Mail processes

  • Knowledge of building vendor relationships and sourcing promotional items

  • Experience with project management

  • A positive, enthusiastic, and compassionate problem solver with the ability to think creatively and a strong work ethic. 

  • Dedication to providing high quality work

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Passion for personal finance and tech

  • The ability to adapt to change, manage competing demands, and remain flexible with delays or unexpected events.

  • Willingness to be hands on and roll up sleeves when needed.

Nice to have:

  • Background working in the financial space

  • Experience working directly with senior staff/executives a plus

  • Appreciates a fast-paced, team environment

  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite
