The role

We are looking for an Investment Writer to join our Content team. This role will be responsible for researching and writing SEO articles on investing and personal finance topics. The Investment Writer will create content that is relevant, consistent, and customizable in order to help us reach our goal of educating and informing members with independent and fact-based content to help them get their money right.

What you’ll do:

Reporting to the Managing Editor, this role will...

  • Work with cross-functional team (including SEO and Creative) to develop and execute SEO articles on investment and personal finance topics

  • Create contextual and relevant content to serve as key company differentiator and position company as industry and consumer resource

  • Adhere consistently to editorial standards, including voice, tone, perspective and copy guidelines

  • Develop written content (both evergreen and news) to be shared across distribution channels including daily newsletter, app, website, podcast, and social media

  • Integrate visual elements (including video, graphics, and images) to produce comprehensive and actionable content

  • Understand the customer journey to inform content opportunities, ultimately removing barriers to conversion

  • Stay on top of news and laws surrounding investment topics

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 2-5  years of experience

  • Strong understanding of personal finance (especially investing)

  • Journalism background strongly preferred

  • Knowledge of SEO

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver factual and engaging content on tight deadlines

  • Mastery of grammar

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
