The role

 

The Senior Benefits Analyst  will play a lead role in research, analytics, and program evaluation helping ensure SoFi employees have relevant and comprehensive benefit offerings. You will work closely with our Senior Benefits Leader in managing end to end benefit programs activities, including benefits plan design and administration, strategic analysis, and vendor management.

 
 

What you’ll do: 

  • Determine employee benefit best practices through robust benchmarking and data driven decision making.

  • Identify opportunities to improve the employee experience and the operational efficiency of our benefit programs.

  • Administer the day-to-day operations of Family Medical Leave, Short-term Disability, and Long-term Disability plans.

  • Process workers' compensation claims with third-party administrators and follow up on claims.

  • Administer various employee benefits programs, such as group health, flexible spending accounts, dental and vision, accident and disability, life insurance, 401(k), and wellness benefits.

  • Recommend employee benefit programs by examining, evaluating, and optimizing employee understanding, acceptance, and interests, costs, regulatory requirements, and competitive advantage.

  • Oversee and analyze the benefits renewal process, develop and implement Open Enrollment Communication plan and participate in systems set-up/implementation with benefit carriers.

  • Track and process benefit enrollments and terminations quickly and accurately in HRIS and enrollment systems.

  • Gather employee data and perform enrollment and compliance audits.

  • Provide excellent customer service support, resolving benefit inquiries from employees, HR Business partners and vendors in a timely manner.

  • Support annual reporting processes including 5500, 1095C, 401k audits and worker’s compensation audits..

  • Work alongside payroll regarding overseeing benefit deductions and other payroll related tasks.

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance or related field.

  • 4+ years of Benefits experience.

  • Familiarity with payroll and benefits software systems (WorkDay & ADP preferred).

  • Strong PC or MAC skills including expertise in Microsoft Excel, Work and Powerpoint.

  • Knowledge of Benefit laws and regulations, including HIPAA, ACA, ERISA, ADA, FMLA and others.

  • Ability to connect and effectively communicate with people at all levels of the organization.

  • Excellent oral and written communication.

  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines.

  • Critical evaluation, attention to detail and ability to research complex issues; must be analytical and able to develop and document recommended actions.
