The role

SoFi is seeking a Treasury & Hedging Operations Associate who will be responsible for the daily  operations of the firm’s trading and treasury activities. This role is a key member of the Treasury Operations team, wearing multiple hats  supporting trade settlement, daily margin, hedge pricing processes, data management, and various treasury functions. This role requires you to work closely with cross functional teams within the organization, located in various office locations.  This position requires strong computer skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as coordinate and work in a team environment.      

What you’ll do:

Duties will include the below, but not limited to:

  • Conduct all required operational tasks to support SoFi’s Market Risk & Hedging business:

    • Daily tracking of positions and variation margin movements

    • Trade execution support

      • Resolve trade breaks

      • Review and affirm new trades

    • Manage and validate daily collateral calls 

    • Bookkeeping for new trades and daily pricing of all positions 

    • Daily cash and P&L reconciliation between two systems

    • Manage reconciliations of roll forwards for all assets

    • Assist with monthly settlements and rolls

    • Liaise with accounting to assist with month-end reconciliation and close processes

  • Implement/Improve processes for efficiency and accuracy

  • Support system migration 

  • Review monthly cash Account Analysis Statements (AA Statements) and report month over month activities

  • Review and release daily wires and ACH payment requests from cross functional team members within the organization

  • Administrator for online banking systems (25+ bank partners, 150+ bank accounts)

  • Management of Treasury Policies

  • Ad hoc projects


What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Finance, Economics, or Accounting preferred)

  • 5 + years of experience working in middle office or back office trading operations, preferably in fixed income and/or rates

  • 2+ years of experience working in treasury, finance, or accounting, a plus

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with other team members to deliver results

  • Strong process, efficiency, and detail orientation

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Positive professional attitude

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Bloomberg

  • Experience with reviewing / confirming trades in MarkitWire
