The Role

SoFi is seeking a Senior People Operations Specialist to join our People Operations team whose goal is to provide exceptional service to our employees, while delivering operational excellence. This role will report to the People Operations Manager and partner cross-functionally with our People Business Partner, Talent Acquisition, and Payroll teams. This individual will play an important role in developing efficiency throughout the employee lifecycle from hiring and on-boarding, to development and off-boarding. The ideal candidate has a rare combination of exceptional customer service and a passion for working with process & systems.  

What You'll Do:

  • Partner closely with People organization to proactively identify opportunities for process improvement to help the People team scale 

  • Work on cross-functional People Operations projects of moderate scope taking into account both operational efficiencies and employee experience throughout employee lifecycle including: on-boarding & off-boarding, mobility, and People ticketing case management improvements

  • Assess the People team’s operational needs & work with appropriate stakeholders to ensure policies & procedures are to date and relevant based off of finding 

  • Become an expert with SoFi’s People data; take lead on and troubleshoot correcting data integrity issues as well as identify root cause to eliminate future risks

  • Participate in system enhancement projects: Defining requirements, assisting with process design, and testing

  • Oversee quality control and internal audits. Partner with Finance and Compliance teams to understand requirements and present timely results

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • 3-5 years of proven experience working within an operational and process focused role, ideally working with HR technology & processes 

  • 2+ years of experience working in a data intensive environment, preferably in Human  Resources, where data entry, auditing, and report generation are a primary function of the role

  • Exceptional communication skills - Ability to interpret requirements, communicate complex concepts in a structured manner, and lead change management for process enhancement initiatives

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills - Ability to interpret data and produce relative metrics to support decision making

  • Team player with a  can do attitude - Must be able to build and maintain relationships with employees both within and outside of People Team & 

  • Workday experience is strongly preferred

  • Comfortable working in Excel or Google Sheets - Experience interpreting data, using formulas, and creating tables and charts
