The Role 

SoFi is looking for a Senior Director of Product for our Invest Platform business. In this role you will own defining, executing, and delivering a technology roadmap that expands our product offerings and delivers new experiences to our customers. You will help drive technology innovation in the form of products, features, and platforms. You will help create and drive the long-term strategy, vision, and roadmap, with a high degree of ownership over critical features and the member experience. 

You will work closely with engineering, design, operations, finance, and executive teams to set technology strategy, define and prioritize features. You’ll bridge technical and business worlds engaging with matrixed teams including engineering, design, operations, legal, risk, compliance and you must drive internal stakeholder and partner engagements necessary for the on-time launch of the product. 

As a Product Manager working on our Invest Platform, you will be part of building the investment platform of the future, helping our Members start and become great long-term investors to achieve financial independence. You will be tasked with building a robust, scalable, resilient platform that meets the most stringent demands of our various investment applications. Amongst others, the platform supports trading operations and execution, integrations with 3rd party services, performant API services, scalable data structures, and inherent resiliency. 

What you’ll do

  • Build a vision, strategy and own a multi-year product roadmap to ship high-impact innovative products that will delight our Members and help them Get Their Money Right!

  • Break vision into phases, prioritize and drive backlogs and execution with your dedicated engineering, design, and data teams 

  • Work with internal project stakeholders from marketing, sales, operations, community and executive management to launch powerful yet intuitive products 

  • Own iteration, experimentation, and data analytics that drive decision making and increased customer impact

What you’ll need

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher with a technical discipline 

  • 5+ years of demonstrated success shipping commercially successful products to very large market segments 

  • Superior communication skills, written and verbal. 

  • Experience presenting to C-level leadership.

  • Experience in end to end ownership of a product and P&L 

  • Experience managing complex product development cycles and highly technical solutions, manage tradeoffs and evaluate opportunistic new ideas with internal and external partners

Nice to have

  • Computer Science major

  • 10+ years product management

  • 3+ years managing highly productive product teams

  • Experience working on fintech or financial industry technology products

  • Experience working on platform products big plus
