The role

SoFi is looking for a Senior Product Manager for our Student Loans business. You’ll prioritize, define, and build features and enhancements that turn getting a student loan into a delightful and clear experience. You’ll be responsible for growing our student loan volume, whether by reducing friction in our application flow to increase conversion, building out our product offering to expand our addressable market, creating student loan-related education tools and content that serve as low cost acquisition loops, or something else you come up with (and support with data)!

You will be responsible for learning, iterating and improving on our existing student loans product. You will drive innovative functionality that disrupts competitors and further differentiates SoFi’s student loan offering in the marketplace. As a product leader in our organization, you will be expected to set ambitious goals, be gritty, and accountable to results.

  • Prioritize and drive backlogs for launch with your dedicated engineering teams

  • Own instrumentation and data for your products to drive deep understanding, innovation and product plans

  • Be able to lead in a fast-paced agile environment

  • Work cross-functionally with stakeholders across marketing, sales, operations, legal, compliance, capital markets, and executive management to translate customer needs into a product.

  • Be able to work closely with engineering to own and dive deep into backlogs, definition of done and technical details.

  • Experiment constantly to drive customer learnings and customer impact.

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher with a technical discipline, or equivalent experience

  • Superior communication skills, written and verbal. Experience presenting to C-level leadership

  • Experience delivering quality software that solves business and user needs

  • Data-driven approach and excellent analytical skills

  • Passion for your users! You do right by them, always

  • Ability to work with remote teams

Nice to have:

  • 5+ years in product management

  • Experience with hypothesis-based product experimentation

  • Experience speaking to actual users, empathizing with them and gathering insights, and translating those insights into meaningful product enhancements

  • Experience in the Fintech space

Why you’ll love working here

  • Competitive salary packages and bonuses

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, vision and life insurance benefits

  • Generous vacation and holidays

  • Paid parental leave for eligible employees

  • 401(k) and education on retirement planning

  • Tuition reimbursement on approved programs

  • Monthly contribution up to $200 to help you pay off your student loans

  • Great health & well-being benefits including: telehealth parental support, subsidized gym program
