As the Head of Product for Lending, you will be the leader driving SoFi’s lending business, including personal and home lending.
The role will own strategy, product planning and team management and leadership throughout the product life cycle, including: defining the product vision, gathering and prioritizing product requirements, and working closely with engineering, design, marketing, member services and operations to reimagine what a great experience should people have when taking a home loan.
What you’ll do:
Own and drive a disruptive a product line from strategy to production
Focus on Exceeding Member’s expectations in every engagement with the product.
Lead engagement with internal and external teams
Become the chief evangelist of lending within SoFi and the industry
Define the product and business metrics , drive to implementation and run the business in a data driven approach.
Breakdown of these complex problems into simpler component pieces that can ultimately be automated
Create a roadmap that allows for highly iterative delivery of demonstrable business value while still managing various risks
Be able to drive disruptive innovative solutions in a customer centric environment
Build a vision, strategy and own a multi-year product roadmap
Break vision into phases, prioritize and drive backlogs for launch with your dedicated engineering teams
Own BI, instrumentation and data and analysis for your products to drive deep understanding, innovation and product plans.
Be able to lead in a fast paced agile environment
Work with internal project stakeholders from marketing, sales, operations, community and executive management to translate customer needs into a product.
Be able to work closely with engineering to own and dive deep into backlogs, definition of done and technical details.
Lead extensive framework of experimentation in order to drive customer impact.
What you’ll need:
Bachelor’s degree or higher with a technical discipline, or equivalent experience
Demonstrated experience shipping commercially successful consumer products to global market segments
Experience leading consumer products at scale
Superior communication skills, written and verbal. Experience presenting to C-level leadership
Experience in end to end ownership of a product and P&L
Experience managing complex product development cycles and highly technical solutions
Demonstrated experience shipping commercially successful consumer products

Experience leading agile cross-functional teams to deliver products that delight customers
Ability to work with remote teams

Nice to haves:
Consumer Lending experience
MBA with BS or higher in Computer Science
15 + years product management
Passion for technology
Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage tradeoffs and evaluate opportunistic new ideas with internal and external partners
Ability to think strategically and execute methodically.
Proven track record of taking ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
