The Role

The Head of Diversity and Inclusion will work to ensure that our culture, environment and approach in every area of SoFi is inclusive, respectful and inviting to all. The full utilization of our talent should be at the heart of our competitive success.

The Head of Diversity and Inclusion will be responsible for the creation and implementation of SoFi’s strategic plan, with a focus on program development and deployment for recruiting, retention and leadership development. This position will report to SoFi’s Head of People.

What You'll Do:

  • Partner with Talent Management to develop and deploy a cutting-edge global workforce strategy

  • In conjunction with the Talent Acquisition team, identify and implement strategic opportunities to develop our global diversity pipeline including best practices to recruit in local communities in which we operate.

  • Partner with the People team to develop and implement diversity and inclusion initiatives

  • Partner with employees to establish new and grow existing affinity groups to maximize their contributions to SoFi’s mission internally and with our members.

  • Establish governance, mission, budget and oversight for all D&I activity

  • Provide quarterly data analysis and recommendations to SoFi leadership for measuring progress and effectiveness of the diversity and inclusion strategy 

  • Work collaboratively to increase awareness around the company’s diversity and inclusion efforts, including content for SoFi’s website and intranet

  • Be the voice of D&I to ensure our external facing content attracts a diverse talent pool

  • Partner closely with SoFi employee groups to encourage programming to positively impact employees’ sense of belonging

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 7-10 years of experience in HR, Diversity & Inclusion, Community Outreach or relevant experience

  • Experience in a non-diversity role and ability to demonstrate commercial thinking in designing ideas and initiatives that relate to SoFi’s vision and mission

  • Demonstrated success in developing cutting edge strategy and driving process improvements with regard to diversity and inclusion issues in the workplace

  • Proven track record of facilitating enterprise-level initiatives with multiple senior stakeholders (Executive Leadership Team, Leadership Committees and other business leaders)

  • Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills across levels, with an ability to persuade and influence, and the ability to build enthusiasm and commitment

  • Strong analytical skills, with a track record of using data and metrics to evaluate needs, drive change and measure impact

  • Strong organizational skills, including setting priorities, planning, structuring project deliverables and problem solving

  • Excellent communication skills, including effective writing, listening, presentation and facilitation skills

  • Proven willingness and ability to be hands-on, and work in a fast paced environment

  • Strong knowledge of EEOC and regulatory requirements
