SoFi’s Observability Team is responsible for implementing and managing the tools that provide our engineers and management staff visibility into the performance of our enterprise. As a member of our team you will work across the organization to design and implement solutions to improve the accuracy and efficiency of our SoFi Observability Platform. This work requires flexibility and a can-do attitude in ensuring key application and system metrics, events, logs and alerts are collected and visible to our engineering and product teams.
What you’ll need:
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work with with a diverse group of engineering and product teams to implement and improve their ability to monitor their services and applications
Ability to manage up and across the organization to communicate and manage competing priorities
Provide solutions to automate important and repetitive tasks
Create and maintain end user and engineering documentation
Customer first mindset
Ability to work independently
Ability to decompose engineering requirements
Working knowledge of Linux Operating Systems
Working knowledge of BASH scripting (or other language. I.e. Python)
Knowledge of log aggregation technologies. (I.E. Splunk, Elasticsearch, Datadog)
Knowledge of source control technologies, (I.E. Git)
Familiar with Terraform.
