Sr IT Project Manager
Description
Reporting to the Director of IT the Senior IT Project Manager is a project leader, business partner, and mentor responsible for scope, time, finance, quality, and overall performance management. An ideal candidate possesses strong project management, consulting, technical, business, and personal leadership skills to lead multiple large-scale projects and programs across a dynamic enterprise. The candidate should have strong analytical and facilitation skills and the ability to interpret and anticipate customer needs to develop clear and attainable goals, objectives, and execution plans.
Specific Responsibilities
- Lead others through business change and implementation plans. Drives teams to consensus and completion
- Interpret business needs and define realistic goals and objectives
- Scope projects to align with goals and objectives and deliver incremental value
- Hold individuals accountable for project deliverables
- Tailor the project lifecycle to meet project needs
- Manage scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and overall performance
- Adhere to all Snap One project management and IT standards
- Evaluate and manage third-party contracts and resources required for project delivery
- Effectively communicate and collaborate with all levels of stakeholders
- Build, lead, and motivate project teams. Facilitate project team meetings and workshops to solve problems and achieve successful outcomes. Keep the project team on task to meet project deadlines
- Anticipate project challenges and risk scenarios and prepare, lead, and execute proactive risk response strategies to ensure optimal results
- Focus on quality and value in all project activities
- Mentor project managers in project management best practices and adherence to Snap One standards
- Contribute to project management standards
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant industry experience leading large and complex programs and projects
- Applied Project Management skills with classical (Waterfall, ITIL) & agile (Scrum, Kanban) methodologies
- Proven track record of achieving business objectives through leading complex enterprise-wide programs.
- Collaborative; Excellent interpersonal effectiveness; Able to have critical conversations.
- Able to achieve buy-in at executive & all levels and influence without authority. Readily understands business drivers, program impact, and individual motivations.
- Deep understanding of Program and Project Management best practices and strong organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Experience with JIRA and Confluence
- Experience with Hybrid Software Development (Agile and Waterfall)
- Relevant experience working in the IT and retail industry
