Description

SNA seeks a bright, collaborative Supervisory, DNA Analyst, with a strong work ethic to join our 
team. SNA’s team works together in pursuit of the same cause: build a safe and just world by 
empowering organizations in the use of forensics, biometrics, and identity intelligence. 
 
Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to: 
 
  • Supervision of scientific and technical staff personnel to include task assignment, prioritization, and management. 
  • Perform special duties at the direction of the Technical Leader and Assistant Technical Leader to include metric tracking and trend analysis. 
  • Process biological specimens, to include stains, human blood, oral swabs, cadaveric tissues, teeth, and bone. 
  • Generate, analyze, and interpret technical data, and produce technical reports. 
  • Perform technical review. 
  • Provide training in laboratory techniques and procedures to technical staff, students, and guests of the laboratory. 
 
Required Qualifications: 
 
  • A master’s degree in forensic science or one of the natural sciences with three years of experience in forensic DNA, or a bachelor’s degree with five years of relevant forensic DNA experience.  
  • Candidates must have a minimum of twelve cumulative semester hours or equivalent that covers the required subject areas in genetics, molecular biology, biochemistry, and statistics. Individuals with forensic DNA typing and supervisory experience are encouraged to apply.  
  • One year of NGS analysis experience preferred.
