SNA International (SNA), a vibrant growing company based in Alexandria, VA, is a world leader in forensics, biometrics, and identity intelligence services. SNA's staff support high visibility forensic human identification operations, including staffing some of the largest federal forensic laboratories in the US. 

SNA International, LLC is seeking a Travel Coordinator to support the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) in the Fort Belvoir area.  The role and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Roles and Responsibilities 

  • Coordinate travel for all program staff 
  • Knowledgeable in Joint Travel Regulations, SPOT, coordinating foreign travel with other DoD components, pre-travel training requirements; and pre-travel health screenings/checks 

 Required Skills, Education, and Experience 

  • U.S. citizen with an active Top Secret security clearance 
  • Proficient use of the Defense Travel System (DTS) and compliance with the Joint Travel Regulations (JTR) required 
  • DTS help desk support, knowledge of and experience in applying DoD travel policies, JTR, and DoD FMR 
  • Specific knowledge and expertise in:   
    • Researching and interpreting the JTR 
    • DTS Operations/Help Desk/Training 
    • Reviewing manually and DTS generated travel vouchers 
    • Preparing manual/traditional and DTS travel authorizations 
    • Processing passport/visa applications 
    • Researching the Foreign Clearance Guide (FCG) 
    • Commercial Ticketing Office (CTO) operations and use of GSA City Pair airfare rates 
  • Processing permanent change of station (PCS) travel authorizations
  • Demonstrated rapport at dealing with the public 
  • Demonstrated experience must include at least 3 years creating, compiling, and editing computer-generated documentation including technical text and graphics 
  • Strong spelling and grammar skills and ability to put documents in proper format is required. 
  • Prior experience supporting executive-level personnel 
  • At least 1-year experience working with DARPA Program Managers is highly desirable 
  • Must be familiar, current and an expert in the software requirements: expert proficiency in MS Office suite - Microsoft Access, Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point, Publisher, Adobe Acrobat, and document scanning equipment 
  • Ability to work independently, with little supervision or oversight 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Privacy Act and its application
  • Familiarity with DARPA structure and processes 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills 
  • Superior organizational skills and work ethic 

Preferred Qualifications and Experience 

  • Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information security clearance 
  • Prior experience in travel coordination, preferably for DTRA Nuclear Enterprise programs
