In January 2022, Smith, a global performance commerce agency, acquired Adept, a Columbus, Ohio-based agency best known for maximizing brand growth through digital marketing. Who You Are

  • A strategically focused mind responsible for building and execution of organic strategies that include a custom mix of content, link-winning, reputation management, local SEO, and other organic search tactics  
  • Fully capable of holistic account management including strategy, planning, tracking setup, analysis, and optimization as well as identifying additional growth opportunities for primary accounts

What You’ll Do

  • Develop SEO strategies for primary accounts that focus on the client’s goals and opportunities
  • Create strategic account roadmaps that accurately plan for allocation of account hours across content, off-site, technical, and local SEO tactics
  • Proactively provide strategic counsel and recommendations to clients
  • Present results, findings, and optimizations to clients in a clear & easy to understand manner. This includes explaining changes in performance and optimization plans based upon results or client requests
  • Anticipate client’s questions and assist in developing responses to client questions pertaining to SEO Performance
  • Accurately develop, implement, and manage client performance, demonstrating knowledge of the primary KPIs related to SEO and the SEO impact to bottom-line business KPIs (i.e., revenue)
  • Continually evaluate the effectiveness of performance by performing keyword research, website performance analysis, content gap analysis, competitor analysis, comprehensive content and technical audits
  • Determine and communicate to clients the SEO key performance indicators for primary accounts and monitor these KPIs for each account regularly
  • Make decisions for campaign optimizations based on data, and communicate any changes required in services being provided on behalf of client performance
  • Autonomously monitor and track time spent against client budgets
  • Update clients and roadmaps as needed based on outside impacts (i.e., algorithm updates, change in client goals, etc.)

 

What We Look For

  • Ability to manage and execute SEO strategies that include content, off-site, local, and technical tactics
  • Ability to provide all aspects of SEO execution support, including a mix of hands-on execution, strategic oversight, and collaboration with peers
  • Collaboration alongside developers, copywriters, paid media specialists, and other members of the SEO team
  • Willingness to stay on top of trends and changing platforms across all areas of SEO
  • Internal and external thought leadership, including producing blogs and internal training documentation
  • Support for business development initiatives, including auditing and assessing key opportunities for new prospects

  • Experience in the financial services industry
  • Fundamental understanding of how all tracking for campaign measurement works including but not limited to:
    • Google Business Profiles
    • Google Search Console
    • Google Tag Manager
    • Google Analytics
    • Adobe Analytics
    • Call Tracking Metrics
    • SEMrush
  • Ability to help troubleshoot tracking issues for all KPIs that are being tracked for campaigns
  • Working knowledge of web development to help diagnose website tracking issues
