Data Operations Intern

Time Commitment  & Duration:
20 hours per week for approx three months

Portland, Oregon preferred but open to remote

Smarsh is seeking a Data Operations Intern to support our Smarsh Operations team – a cornerstone of a Gartner Magic Quadrant Leader’s growth operations. You will assist the marketing operations reporting, analysis, data hygiene functions, as well provide support for automations, processes, and all digital platforms.

  • Fulfill ad-hoc reporting requests across multiple data sources and departments
  • Enforce and manually scrub data sets to ensure data hygiene behind dashboards and executive reporting
  • Enrich Salesforce data points across the Lead/Contact/Account level
  • Proactively analyze one-off issues within leadflows, workflows, reporting, and ROI
  • Foster impeccable data integrity and hygiene within Salesforce, Marketo, Demandbase One, LeanData, Google Analytics, PowerBI, and additional data sources – both in real time and retroactively
  • Conduct data integrity audits on email and campaigns
  • Ensure accurate ROI at the Salesforce Campaign level
  • Help Marketing Operations team onboard and configure new technologies
  • Assist the Sr. Marketing Operations Analyst as priorities evolve


  • 1+ year experience within B2B marketing teams to assist with cross-functional, global marketing operations initiatives
  • 2+ years experience in organizing, scrubbing, and analyzing data
  • Highly effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce, PowerBI, Google Analytics, Leadspace/ZoomInfo and Marketo
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Effective time-management skills
  • Adaptability and flexibility to changing situations
