Senior Implementation Technician 

We are seeking a highly motivated technician for our Implementations team. Typical duties include setting up archiving, email hosting, discussing and configuring hosted services, basic-to-complex email-related problems, and API configuration troubleshooting when launching new clients onto Smarsh systems.

Must have a fundamental knowledge and understanding of email (POP, IMAP, SMTP, Exchange), mail servers, mobile technology, and web). At minimum, understanding of DNS, domain registrars, and email routing is required as the position involves in-depth troubleshooting of both.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Setup, configure, and provide documentation for hosted services
  • Ability to provide phone and email configuration support for hosted services
  • Ability to troubleshoot and/or implement complex data migrations
  • Pre-sales and sales technical questions as they arise in relation to integration with services provided
  • Committed to providing customer service that makes both internal and external customers feel welcome, important, and appreciated
  • Send product/services information to client(s) upon request
  • Collaborating with the Implementation team and internal departments
  • Manage large projects with minimal supervision
  • Mastering most/all setups
  • Provide case-quality peer-reviews
  • Run customer-facing meetings using screen-sharing/collaboration tools

  • 2+ Years in a recent software environment assisting end users via phone and email
  • Windows server and Exchange messaging systems experience is a plus
  • SMTP/POP3, IMAP, SSL/TLS, DNS, Security/Firewalls, MS Outlook, OWA, PowerShell
  • Mobile, Web Mail clients, Email Server Administration, Exchange
  • Knowledge of HTML, website structure, and scripting strongly preferred
  • SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
  • Salesforce experience a plus
