SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support the Deputy Chief Pilot with Flight Operations tasks/duties by:

  • Following-up on Line Indoctrination
  • Providing support for the pilot/crew member recruitment process (i.e. vetting resumes/applications)
  • Providing support for the onboarding process for new aircrafts entering into service
  • Providing support during the onboarding process of new pilots/crew members (i.e. communicating with HR, IT set-up, etc.)
  • Providing support during the investigation of all SMS reports for the region, and participate in other safety projects as required
  • Providing support for internal aircraft quality control inspections
  • Providing back-up support by being the go-to person for pilots/crew members when the Deputy Chief Pilot is unavailable
  • Providing support for special Flight Operations projects as required

 

QUALIFCIATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Post-secondary education in aviation management or administration
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an aviation support role or as a pilot
  • Airline Transport Pilot Certificate or working towards one an asset
  • Knowledge of all relevant aviation regulations an asset
  • High safety orientation and experience with SMS/safety management processes preferred
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Strong support, communication and administrative skills
  • Superior customer service, relationship building and influencing skills
  • Collaborative and oriented towards continuous improvement
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, high pressure environment
