Responsible for performing and ensuring the safe, compliant completion of all aircraft maintenance activities, documentation, and regulatory requirements while maintaining a clean work environment and supporting all duties assigned by management
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform and ensure the proper completion of all maintenance activities related to Sky Service FBO aircraft, both in the hangar and on the ramp.
- Ensure aircraft documentation is complete and accurate.
- Ensure that all components installed on aircrafts are properly certified.
- Perform duties in accordance with the appropriate maintenance control manual and ensure conformity to Transport Canada regulatory standards.
- Attend training courses as directed by company management.
- Adhere to the Safety Management System Policy.
- Maintain and ensure a clean and safe work environment at all times.
- Assist with maintenance planning and forecasting, including scheduling of inspections, component overhauls, and long-term maintenance events.
- Coordinate with maintenance control, vendors, and service providers to support scheduled maintenance and aircraft availability.
- Actively support cost control initiatives by identifying opportunities to optimize maintenance planning, parts procurement, and service provider utilization.
- Support and assist in the planning and execution of major aircraft projects, including cabin refurbishments, avionics upgrades, or interior modifications.
- Work collaboratively with flight crew and operations to ensure maximum aircraft readiness and dispatch reliability.
- Demonstrate a high level of professionalism and discretion consistent with corporate and private aviation operations.
OPERATIONAL FLEXIBILITY
- Ability to travel to support the aircraft and complete maintenance activities at outstations when required.
- Willingness to work flexible hours based on aircraft operational needs and to support owner schedules.
- Availability for AOG (Aircraft on Ground) response if required.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Valid Transport Canada M2 license.
- Minimum of five (5) years related experience.
- Endorsement on Bombardier Challenger 605 or similar large cabin business aircraft considered an asset.
- ACA, Avionics Technician license considered an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to plan and forecast maintenance activities, including inspections, component overhauls, and long-term maintenance events.
- Experience coordinating scheduled inspections, heavy maintenance events, or major modification projects considered an asset.
- Experience with aircraft maintenance tracking systems (CAMP, Flightdocs, Traxxall) and working knowledge of OEM maintenance service programs (Bombardier, GE, Honeywell), with the ability to manage plan utilization to maximize coverage and control maintenance costs.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with flight crew, the aircraft owner’s representative, maintenance control, and external vendors in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure with while remaining attentive to detail.
