PURPOSE:

The Technical Business Analyst will support FBO Operations with the coordination of project planning, business development, preparing and maintaining documentation, reviewing contracts and financials, and monitoring FBO activities.  The Technical Business Analyst will derive insights from large amounts of data that support and guide optimal project performance, while being meticulous with documentation and report preparations.   The Technical Business Analyst, will also assist the Director, FBO Operations (and Skyservice) in understanding why data is meaningful, which will drive the necessary actions to elevate the company to the next level.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSBILITIES:

  • Manage key FBO projects nationally to include; research, data analysis, report and budget preparation, project management, SMS occurrence report analysis, and financial overview reporting;
  • Provide real time data analysis on comparable fuel pricing, hangar/ramp lease rates and other FBO fees at airports throughout North America;
  • Continuous market analysis, establishing key performance indicators and direction for business development;
  • Conduct and present a feasibility analysis for proposed projects and business development on a local, regional, and national scale;
  • Provide tactical planning for the Director, FBO Operations to clearly define scope of projects (i.e. approach, timelines and project coordination);
  • Follow up with project team members/contributors to ensure tasks are completed as agreed and timelines are met;
  • Gather information and conduct research, ultimately determining patterns and trends in the analyzed data;
  • Make recommendations based on research and analysis, and prepare reports based on collected information;
  • Assist  in determining resource allocation throughout the FBO business unit;
  • Analyze project data, producing insights to optimize performance and identify problems and shortfalls proposing solutions.
 QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • Between 3 – 5 years’ experience in a business administration/analyst role;
  • Bachelor’s Degree or College Diploma in Business Administration and/or Accounting preferred, or in a related field;
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Excel;
  • Previous experience with budget preparation;
  • Bilingualism in English and French (spoken and written) is an asset;
  • Must possess advanced business acumen to effectively communicate with all levels within the organization;
  • A confident self-starter with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and develop relationships while working independently, confidentially and ethically;
  • Strong research and financial analysis skills.
