Job Title : Principal/Sr. Principal Engineer - Core Design

Location : Sacramento CA or San Jose CA

In the rapidly growing NAND Flash space amid the era of big data, this is an exciting time to be at SK hynix NAND America - come join our NAND Design Team as a Principal/Senior Principal Engineer and work on one of the most advanced 3D NAND technology portfolios in the world.

SK hynix NAND Flash memory design is part of SK hynix NAND Development America for developing advanced 3D NAND products.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for delivering core circuits in advanced 3D NAND flash memory products
  • Architect, design and build 3D NAND memory at the transistor level
  • Design, implement and improve complex biasing methods and memory algorithms like program, erase and read operations
  • Design, implement and improve core circuits including HV row decoder and drivers, page buffer, data latch circuit structures
  • Develop circuit solutions that meet area, power and performance within process distribution
  • Work closely with layout designers to optimize area and performance
  • Mentoring and instructing junior engineers along with ensuring timely product delivery

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least 10 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree
  • At least 5 years of hands on core design experience in NAND flash memory
  • Solid understanding of 3D NAND array architectures, circuits, and functions
  • Understanding of NAND erase, program and read algorithms along with reliability mechanisms
  • Strong communication skills with ability to convey technical concepts to peers.

 

Benefits:

  • The base salary range for this full-time position is: $182,000 - $257,000.
    • Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
    • Additional compensation may include annual bonuses, discretionary bonuses and benefits.
